FEATURED SPEAKER: Dr. Aristo Vojdani
A special 3-hour lecture on the topic: "Review of the 10th International Congress on Autoimmunity and Beyond - Environmental Triggers Causing the Rise of Autoimmunity."
Dr. Vojdani obtained his MSc and PhD in the fields of microbiology and clinical immunology from Bar Llan University in Isreal with postdoctoral studies in comparitive immunology at UCLA and tumor immunology at Charles Drew/UCLA School of Medicine and Science. In addition he is an adjunct Associate Professor at several prestigious colleges.
Dr. Vojdani's ongoing research focuses on the role of environmental triggers in complex diseases and has resulted in the development of more than 300 antibody assays for the detection of many autoimmune disorders and other diseases. He not only holds 15 US patents for lab assessments of immune disorders associated with the brain and gut, but has also published more than 160 articles in magazines and scientific journals and recently published the book Neuroimmunity and the Brain-Gut Connection. Furthermore, he acts as CEO and Technical Director of Immunosciences Lab, Chief Scientific Advisor for Cyrex and sits on the editorial board of five scientific journals. Dr. Vojdani has received the Herbert J. Rinkel Award, the Linus Pauling, PhD Award and the F. R. Carrick Research Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award.
